I get a lot of ideas in the shower.

I love to learn. I love to laugh. I love telling other women what they’re good at. I’ve been writing my whole life, even though it took me nearly two decades to call myself a writer. I am self-taught in just about everything, but make no mistake: every good thing I’ve ever made has the fingerprints of other women on it. Let’s see … what else? I have read every Anne Lamott book at least three times. I consider popcorn to be its own food group. At the end of the day, I always want to be a person who notices flowers growing in the cracks of sidewalks. (Yes, that’s a metaphor.)
